Description of key information

Tungsten dioxide is a solid inorganic substance which forms brown, monoclinic crystals. It is solid at room temperature with a melting point of ca. 1500 degrees C and a relative density of 10.7161 g/cm³. The substance as manufactured has a median particle size of 14.57 µm, with approximately 90% of the mass smaller than 27.17 µm. Tungsten dioxide is slightly soluble in water (4.2 mg/L in the T/D test). The substance is neither auto-flammable nor flammable and has also no oxidizing properties.
