Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 102 and EU Method A.1. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

As the test material is a complex and viscous mixture, it was determined that the pour point method was the most appropriate. The sample was heated to 46 °C and cooled. Starting at 18 °C, and at intervals of 3 °C, the sample was tilted to a horizontal position for a period of 5 seconds during which time the sample was observed for signs of flow.

Under the conditions of this study, the pour point of the test material was determined to be 6 ± 3 °C (279 ± 3 K).
