Additional information

Estimated vapour pressure at 25 °C is 1.53*10^-12 Pa.

Based on the OECD TG 104, the calculated values of the vapour pressure can be used:

- for deciding which of the experimental methods is appropriate,

- for providing an estimate or limit value in cases where the experimental method cannot be applied due to technical reasons.

The estimation method proposed by the OECD TG 104 is the modified Watson correlation, for which the only experimental data required is the normal boiling point.

The substance " Reaction mass of dodecane-1-thiol and tridodecyl trithiophosphite" during the DSC analysis showed a melting point at 19.8 °C and decomposed starting from 300 °C without boiling. The boiling temperature of the test substance could not be determined because of its thermal decomposition .Therefore, the modified Watson correlation cannot be used. A prediction made by EPI Suite v. 4.11 of the US EPA by a Modified Grain method was conducted and the result of vapour pressure was 1.53 × 10^-12 Pa, at 25 °C.

The SMILES notation used for estimation was: CCCCCCCCCCCCSP(SCCCCCCCCCCCC)SCCCCCCCCCCCC considering the most abundant component of the multi-constituent substance, i.e. tridodecyl trithiophosphite.

The predicted value of vapour pressure is out of the recommended range of the pressures of the methods reported in the OECD TG 104 (lower than 10^-10 Pa), therefore the calculated value has been reported as key value for the Chemical Safety Assessment.
