Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The test is technically not possible. In fact, the substance is very difficult to detect by HPLC because it has no chromophore. It is also slightly water soluble and the experimental tests for both BCF and logKow are difficult to perform. Even though the high adsorption in the soil is possible, the environmental fate of this substance raises no concern because the main use is at industrial site preventing any possible release to the environment. Professional use has negligible wastewater release because the process operation occurs without direct water contact. Exhausted oils are collected and disposed according to the local legislation.

A predicted value for partition coefficient organic carbon-water was calculated by EUSES 2.1.2 Koc = 1.59*10^8 l/kg considering the substance as predominantly hydrophobics . This value was used by CHESAR for chemical safety assessment.
