Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The melting temperature of " Reaction mass of dodecane-1-thiol and tridodecyl trithiophosphite "was determined. The differential scanning calorimetry method was used. The procedure used was similar to OECD TG 102.

Melting temperature of the substance is 19.8 °C with ΔH= 79.4 J/g at atmospheric pressure. The decomposition of test item starts at 300 °C with a peak at 337.98 °C correlated to ΔH= 58.16 J/g.  Before decomposition at 162.88 °C the evaporation of one impurity (probably diethyl phosphate) was registered.
