- Study period:
- 07 December 2016-22 March 2017
- Reliability:
- 1 (reliable without restriction)
- Justification for type of information:
- The study was conducted according to an internationally recognised method, and under GLP. The substance is considered to be adequately characterised. Therefore full validation applies.
- Qualifier:
- according to guideline
- Guideline:
- OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
- Deviations:
- no

- Remarks:
- UK GLP compliance programme (inspected on 05 July 2016 / signed on 28 October 2016)
- Type of method:
- pour point
- Key result
- Melting / freezing pt.:
- 39 °C
- Conclusions:
- The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 39.0 ± 3 °C (312 ± 3 K).
- Executive summary:
The pour point of the test item was measured under GLP according to OECD 102 / EU A1 guideline.
An aliquot of test item was poured into a test jar which was then enclosed in a glass jacket and were heated to 48 °C in a water bath set at 50 °C before being allowed to cool in air to 35 °C.
The determination was performed in duplicate.

Discussion
As the test item was a very viscous pasty liquid complex substance, it was considered that the pour point method was the most appropriate test method.
Conclusion
The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 39.0 ± 3 °C (312 ± 3 K).
Description of key information
The pour point of the test item has been determined to be 39.0 ± 3 °C (312 ± 3 K).
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
- 39 °C
Additional information
A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EU method and under GLP, is available. It is considered as a key study and the result is retained as key data.
