Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
appearance / physical state / colour
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
07 December 2016-22 March 2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Justification for type of information:
Data comes from a GLP report related to the determination of the pour point of the substance. No guideline is required according to REACh TGD. The substance is considered to be adequately characterised. Therefore full validation applies.
Qualifier:
no guideline required
Principles of method if other than guideline:
pour point and visual observation
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Remarks:
UK GLP compliance programme (inspected on 05 July 2016 / signed on 28 October 2016)
Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
solid
Remarks:
due to the pour point of the substance determined as 39°C (see endpoint 4.2)
Key result
Form:
solid
Remarks:
very viscous pasty substance
Colour:
Dark green/brown
Substance type:
organic
Conclusions:
the substance is considered as a pasty solid substance.
Executive summary:

The physical state of the substance was determined based on the pour point of the test item measured under GLP according to a reliable OECD 102 / EU A1guideline study.

As the pour point was measured as 39 +/-3 °C, the substance is considered as a solid substance (see endpoint 4.2). Considering that the substance is described as a dark green/brown very viscous pasty substance in the certificate of analysis and in the report(without data on temperature and pressure), the substance is considered as a pasty solid substance.

Description of key information

Dark green/brown pasty solid substance

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
solid

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study to determine the pour point of the substance, described as a dark green/brown very viscous pasty liquid (without data on temperature and pressure), was conducted according to a recognized OECD/EU method and under GLP. It was considered as a key study and the result was retained as key data.

As the pour point of the substance was determined as 39 +/- 3°C, the substance was considered as a dark green/brown pasty solid substance at ambient temperature and pressure.
