A self-ignition of the test item was observed at 230 °C.

Additional information

The self-ignition properties of the test substance was investigated in the Grewer-oven in wire baskets.

According to the guideline VDI 2263, sheet 1 (Grewer-Oven) a self-ignition of the test item was observed at 230 °C.

Due to these results the test item does not have to be classified as a “self-heating substance”, class 4.2 of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods / Manual of Tests and Criteria and according to chapter 2.11 [1] of the GHS (CLP) regulations.
