Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
2 000 °C

Additional information

As ferrous slags are UVCB composed of several fused silicates, they have no well-defined boiling point but a boiling range. The transition from the liquid state to the gas phase occurs at temperatures of more than 2000 °C (estimated), being influenced by the exact composition of the molten slag. In general, during production and use, the temperatures are several hundred °C below the boiling point and due to the high input of energy required to reach this temperature, no incidental heating to the boiling range is possible.
