The calibration of the instrument was verified at 20.0 °C with double-distilled water and cyclohexane just before the determinations.

The results were:

Water: reference value: 01.998 g/mL, instrument reading: 0.998 g/mL

Chlorobenzene: reference value: 1.106 g/mL, instrument reading: 1.106 g/mL

The results are within the precision of the instrument (± 0.001 g/mL).

The results obtained with the test substance at 20.0 °C were:
