Conclusion on classification

Classification according to Directive 67/548/EEC:

Based on the outcome of the marine algae test with Nitzschia closterium which gave an EC50­of 15 mg/l (which is not a study performed under standard test conditions) and the ready biodegradability test which gave only 1% removal the classification and labeling for the environment would be R52/53. For chronic toxicity all NOEC values are greater than 1 mg/l and therefore a chronic classification is not necessary. Due to the earlier Annex I classification R51/53 this is still chosen as the proposed classification.

Classification according to Regulation 1272/2008:

For chronic toxicity all NOEC values are greater than 1 mg/l and therefore a chronic classification is not necessary. Due to the earlier Annex I classification R51/53 it is still chosen to classify as Chronic category 2.
