Additional information

Based on the available data on its physical and chemical properties, reaction mass of dimethyl adipate, dimethyl glutarate and dimethyl succinate is a colourless liquid with a freezing point of -55.4°C, a boiling point of around 209.3°Cand a relative density of 1.0915 at 20°C. The vapour pressure of its three constituents was determined to be between 0.47and 9.4 hPa at 25°C. The reaction mass is considered as very soluble in water based on the water solubilities of its three constituents being between 4 and 40.5 g/L and to have a low potential for bioaccumulation based on measured logKow values between 0.6 and 1.4 for its three constituents. The measured surface tension showed that it is not a surface active substance.

Besides, reaction mass of dimethyl adipate, dimethyl glutarate and dimethyl succinate is considered as non flammable based on its chemical structure and its flash point which has been determined to be of 99°C. It was determined not to have an auto-ignition temperature below 400ºC.. The absence of explosive and oxidising properties have been estimated based on the chemical structure.
