Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Abiotic degradation by hydrolysis is not expected to take place based on the structure of the substance.

The test substance is considered to be biodegradable but failing the 10-day window. Based on the screening criteria given in ECHA Guidance, Chapter R.11, for PBT and vPvB assessment, the substance does not fulfil the P- or vP-criterion.

BCF values in the range of 560 to 1350 L/kg were measured for 2-ethylanthraquinone. During the depuration phase, the test substance concentration in the fishes quickly decreased. The substance does not fulfil the bioaccumulation trigger value of BCF > 2000 L/kg as given in ECHA Guidance, Chapter R.11, and does not fulfil the B- or vB-criterion.

Transport and distribution

Based on the adsorption coefficient Koc of 4070, the substance is considered to be slightly mobile in soil and sediment according to the criteria set up by McCall (1981).
