In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. In support, NICNAS (2009) concluded that DEIPA was “not expected to be explosive” as it “does not contain any structural groups indicative of explosive properties”.
