Conclusions:
An auto ignition temperature of 282±5°C was determined for the substance in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered reliable.

Description of key information

Auto flammability [tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol]:  282±5°C (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
282 °C

Additional information

A measured auto flammability of 282±5°C was determined for the substance in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and was selected as key study. This value is supported by auto flammability value of 282°C which was reported for the substance in secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned. Also, in another secondary source, auto ignition temperatures of 273°C in air and 282°C in oxygen were reported for the substance.
