Description of key information

According to column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 "The study does not need to be conducted: ... for solids which either melt above 300 °C or decompose before boiling ...". Diacetone acrylamide decomposes at an onset of 105 °C and a peak of 204 °C before boiling, see the study record on melting temperature.
The boiling point of the substance was estimated with the MPBPVP tool within the Epi Suite v4.1 programme and was calculated to 310 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
310 °C
