Description of key information

In a test for ready biodegradability diacetone acrylamide biodegraded to 40 % within 28 days. Diacetone acrylamide is therefore not considered to be readily biodegradable.
In a Zahn-Wellens test for inherent biodegradability diacetone acrylamide biodegraded to 90 % within 28 days and is therefore considered to be inherently, ultimately biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, fulfilling specific criteria
