Description of key information

Diacetone acrylamide was tested for acute fish toxicity according to OECD and EC methods in a semistatic test with 48 h exposure duration. The LC50 was 1960 mg/L, the NOEC was 1000 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
1 960 mg/L

Additional information

Although the exposure time was for the fish test was only 48 h, the aquatic toxicity can be predicted to be low, in agreement with the results of the other acute aquatic toxicity tests performed.
