Description of key information

The particle size of the test substance disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) was determined. A median particle diameter (d50) of 86.4 µm was obtained.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of the test substance disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) was determined in a single study (08-48753.1) according to the guideline: ISO 13320-1. The dry sample was dispersed in compressed air and the particle size was determined by laser diffraction. The obtained results showed: A median particle diameter of 86.4 µm and fractions of less than 1, 4 ,10 and 100 µm diameter in the following partial volumes respectively: 0.0, 4.0, 10.5, 52.8 vol % .
