Description of key information

The surafce tension of the test susbstance, disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) powder (1g/L solution) was determined in a single study to be 69.9±0.1 mN/m at 20°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
69.9
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension of an aqueous solution of the test substance disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) (Lot DEH9001216) was determined in a single study (09-59600) according to OECD Guideline 115. The surface tension was determined by measuring the force on a Pt plate. The obtained results showed that the surface tension of a 1g/L solution of disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) is 69.9±0.1 mN/m at 20°C.
