Description of key information

One available study examined the acute toxicity effects of disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) in Brachydanio rerio (new name: Danio rerio). The LC50 was determined to be greater than 500 mg/L.

Additional information

The test substance disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) was examined for acute toxicity in Brachydanio rerio (new name: Danio rerio). Fish were exposed to 500 mg/L of the test substance for 96 hours. After application of disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) test medium was adjusted to 8.2 pH with HCl (37%).

No mortality occurred during the test period. Therfore, the LC50 was greater than 500 mg/L.
