Waiving of study:
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation Annex VII section 7.11 an explosive properties test does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups present in disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) which were associated with explosive properties (refer to chapter R.7a in “Guidanace on information requirements and chemical safety assessment”).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the structure of the molecule and taking into account the provisions laid down in Council Directive 67/548/EEC and CLP (GHS) , disodium disilicate (delta-crystalline) does not have to be classified with respect to explosiveness.
