Additional information

Information available from various sources used in a weight-of-evidence approach show that NiL4 is hydrolytically unstable and is expected to be degraded to its ligand TTP, which is further hydrolysed to p-cresol. From experiments with NiL4 in water/THF at various pH half-lifes of less than 18 hours are expected.

In a guideline study for ready biodegradation (28d, CO2 -evolution) 27% biodegradation was observed, which is not fulfilling the criterion for readily biodegradability. Biodegradability may be hampered by the low water solubility of the test substance.
