Information available from various sources used in a weight-of-evidence approach show that NiL4 is hydrolytically unstable and is expected to be degraded to its ligand TTP, which is further hydrolysed to p-cresol. From experiments with NiL4 in water/THF at various pH half-lifes of less than 18 hours are expected.
