Description of key information

NOEL (48 hours) = 100 mg/L test material, corresponding to 55.1 mg/L of submission substance;
EL50 (48 hours) > 100 mg/L test material, corresponding to 55.1 mg/L of submission substance;

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In an 48h acute toxicity study on Daphnia magna according to relevant guidelines and compliant to GLP toxixity of the submission substance towards invertebrates was tested (reliability categroy 1). Due to the limited stability of the submission substance in water the test had been conducted in a semistatic manner with daily renewal of test solutions. As the test item was poorly soluble in water, after an initial range finding test a limit test with a water accomodated fraction at a nominal concentration of the test item of 100 mg/L had been performed. The follwoing effect values were determined:

NOEL (48 hours) = 100 mg/L test material, corresponding to 55.1 mg/L of submission substance;

EL50 (48 hours) > 100 mg/L test material, corresponding to 55.1 mg/L of submission substance;
