Additional information

The registered substance is 35% TEAH in water, because TEAH is not stable when water is removed. However, all PNEC values are given for the pure substance TEAH, as the CSA is also based on TEAH.

Conclusion on classification

The acute L(E)C50 values of TEAH to fish, daphnia, algae are all above 100 mg/L and the NOEC value of TEAH to algae is higher than 1 mg/L.Therefore, TEAH and thus 35% TEAH in water does not need to be classified according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 with regard to the environment.
