Description of key information

Using a commercially available apparatus the auto-ignition test in accordance with EC A.15, DIN 51794 and IEC 79-4 and in compliance with GLP was performed with a 35% aqueous solution of tetraethylammonium hydroxide. The auto-ignition temperature at 1005.1 - 1020.1 hPa has been determined as 315°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
315 °C

Additional information

Water is known to be not auto-flammable and is also expected to have been evaporated at the high temperatures tested.
