Description of key information

TEAH 35% in water has no intrinsic acute toxic effects up to and including 287 mg/L (100 mg TEAH/L).
The nominal 48h-EC50 >100 mg TEAH/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity of 35% TEAH in water to Daphnia magna was investigated in a study carried out in accordance with OECD 202 and GLP.

The nominal concentration was confirmed by chemical analysis (recovery 98-107%)

It was concluded that TEAH 35% in water has no intrinsic acute toxic effects up to and including 287 mg/L (100 mg TEAH/L).

The nominal 48h-EC50 >100 mg TEAH/L.

The study is considered reliable without restrictions.
