The Mel-Temp II apparatus was verified prior to the definitive test by testing an ethanol standard. The results of the verification were within ≤ 0.3°C of the reported melting point of ethanol, indicating the system was successfully calibrated. The boiling point of HiMo LABS was estimated during the preliminary test to be 210.0°C. The boiling point of test substance was determined to be 220.3°C (493.5 K).

Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test substance was determined to be 220.3 °C (493.5 K).
