Description of key information

Key information: Partition coefficient (OECD 117, HPLC method): Pow > 2.5 x 10E9, logPow > 9.4 at 30 °C.
Supporting information: Partition coefficient (OECD 107, shake flask method): logPow range: 1.72 - 2.94 at 21 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
8
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The key value was determined by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) according to OECD 117 / EU Method A.8 (Fox, 2012). Further information is available from an experiment conducted according to OECD 107, revealing a logPow range of 1.72 - 2.94 at 21 °C (Rocchio, 1990). In this case, the test material stock solution prepared in methanol rather than octanol as recommended.

For purpose of exposure assessment calculations, a logKow of 8.0 was taken into consideration, since this value represents the maximum valid logKow value in the algorithms of EUSES or EU-TGD approach.
