Additional information

Experimental investigations considering possible toxic effects of 1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, reaction products with hydrogen peroxide and tert-nonanethiol towards terrestrial organisms are waived. A reliable Koc of > 4.27 x 10E5 (OECD 121, Fox, 2012) is available for the test substance and the required PNECsoil was derived using the Equilibrium Partitioning Method (EPM) described in ECHA Guidance R.10 (Guidance of Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.10: Characterisation of dose-response for environment, therein chapter R.10.6.1, 2008). It is considered that the information available is sufficient and further testing is not required. If necessary, data available from aquatic toxicity testing can be used as a worst case scenario if further characterization of the terrestrial compartment is desired. Hence, it is concluded that this substance exhibit relevant ecotoxicity potential in soil organisms.
