Description of key information

Solubility in reference grease (OECD 116) on supporting substance ‘1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, reaction products with hydrogen peroxide and tert-dodecanethiol’: every concentration [25%, 50% and 100% w/w] showed a perfect solubility of the test substance in grease reference.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The solubility in grease was determined on the supporting substance ‘1,3,4-Thiadiazolidine-2,5-dithione, reaction products with hydrogen peroxide and tert-dodecanethiol’ according to OECD 116 (Bouillon, 1998). The liposolubility of a substance is defined as the mass which makes a homogeneous fraction with a liquid grease at a given temperature. 20 g references grease were used for each determination at 30 °C and 50 °C. Independently of the temperature, the test substance showed a perfect solubility in the reference grease.
