IOTG was found to be negative in the in vitro gene mutations assays on bacteria (Ames test) EHTG, a structural analogue, was found to negative on mammalian cells (mouse lymphoma assay), both in the presence and absence of metabolic activation and in the micronucleus test with mice.
Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)
Justification for classification or non-classification
None of the available in vitro and in vivo studies performed with IOTG or EHTG have shown mutagenic effects, no classification is warranted for germ cell mutagenicity.
