Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: take the patient to well-ventilated place and call a doctor
Emergency measure - Eyes: WASHING WITH PLENTY OF WATER
Emergency measure - Skin: WASHING WITH PLENTY OF WATER AND IF IT IS POSSIBLE WITH SOAP
AND WATER.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: IF ACCIDENTALLY SWALLOWED, VOMITING SHOULD NOT BE INDUCED
SINCE THIS MAY CAUSE OBSTRUCTION OF TRACHEA; CALL A DOCTOR.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: ALCOHOL RESISTANT FOAM, CHEMICAL POWDER, CARBONE DIOXIDE,
SAND, EARTH, WATER-FOG.
Product arising from burning: WATER AND CARBONE DIOXIDE.
Protective equipment: ANTI-SPLASH FACIAL MASK AND NEOPRENE GLOVES.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: - ON GROUND : contain spilled product with sand or earth.
Gather up product where possible and store in another
container or tank. Where this is not possible, absorb with
inert material, remove to safe place and take measures for
its destruction by incinerating.
- INTO WATER : channel the product and contain it by use of
floats, and proceed to its recovery. Where the product has
flowed into the drains or sewage system, warn the
appropriate authority.
Handling and storage
Handling: This product does not present risks of acute irritation. It
is, however, advisable to limit possible prolonged contact.
Where gases or fumes from the product are present as a result of overheating or fire, wear a gas mask with an
anti-organic gas filter.
Where oxygen levels are below 18 %, use breathing apparate.
Storage: Store away from sources of heat and ignition, in a cool and
well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Respiratory protection No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required. In inadequately ventilated areas, where workplace limits are exceeded, where unpleasant odours exist or where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, use self-contained breathing apparatus or breathing apparatus with a type A filter or appropriate combined filter (e.g. where aerosols are in use, or smoke and mist occur, A-P2 or ABEK-P2), in compliance with EN 141.
Hand protection The choice of an appropriate glove does not only depend on its material but also on other quality features and is different from one producer to the other., Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time., Be aware that in daily use the durability of a chemical resistant protective glove can be notably shorter than the break through time measured according to EN 374, due to the numerous outside influences (e.g. temperature).
gloves suitable for permanent contact:
Material: butyl-rubber
Break through time: >= 480 min
Material thickness: >= 0.7 mm
gloves suitable for splash protection:
Material: Nitrile rubber/nitrile latex
Break through time: >= 30 min
Material thickness: >= 0.4 mm
Eye protection Safety glasses
Skin and body protection Protective suit
Hygiene measures General industrial hygiene practice.
Protective measures No special protective equipment required.
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE CONTROLS
General advice
Avoid subsoil penetration.
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: NONE
Chemical reaction with water: NONE
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: NO RECOVERY AND NOT RECYCLING
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: YES
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: ABSORPTION AND/OR BIODEGRADATION
