First-aid measures

- General advice: Show the safety data sheet to the doctor in attendance. Remove victim from exposure and then have him lie down in the recovery position. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Consult a physician.
- Following skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off with soap and water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician. Burns must always be treated by a physician.Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
- Following eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Remove contact lenses.
- Following ingestion: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician or Poison Control Centre immediately.
- Following inhalation: Move to fresh air. In the case of inhalation of aerosol/mist consult a physician if necessary.
- Most important symptoms and effects: Risk of severe irritation of skin and eyes.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Extinguish with alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.
- Hazardous combustion products: Oxides of Carbon and Nitrogen.
- Advice for fire fighter: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Wear suitable protective clothing and eye/face protection.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid generation of dust, mist or aerosols. Provide adequate ventilation.
- Environmental precautions: Should not be released into the environment. Prevent product from entering drains.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Sweep up and removed to an approved disposal container. Avoid generation and spreading of dust or mist.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid handling which leads to dust or mist formation.
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in tightly-closed, original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Appropriate engineering controls: Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation. Observe any occupational exposure limits for the product or ingredients.
Eye/face protection: Safety glasses with side shields conforming to EN166
Hand protection: The most suitable glove should be chosen in consultation with the glove supplier/manufacturer, who can provide information about the breakthrough time of the glove material. The gloves must satisfy the specifications of EU directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Other skin and body protection: Wear chemical protective suit. Provide eyewash station.
Hygiene measures Wash hands at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet.

Stability and reactivity

Materials to avoid: Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition product: Oxides of the following substances: Nitrogen. Carbon.

Disposal considerations

Disposal methods: Dispose of waste to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with the requirements of the local Waste Disposal Authority.
