Description of key information

At room temperature, 2 -(N-ethylanilino)ethanol is described as a primrose yellow solid.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
solid

Additional information

The property of 2-(N-ethylanilino)ethanol is that, without seed crystal, it only slowly crystallizes even at temperatures below the melting point. It is suggested to open the bottle and wait for a couples of hours after which the material will  crystallize gradually. That’s is why physical state on CoA is liquid or solid, as it may change. It does not affect the quality of the product. Based on a melting point of 38°C, 2 -(N-ethylanilino)ethanol is considered to be a solid at 20°C.
