BIOACCUMULATION AQUATIC / SEDIMENT

A BCF fish test with carp was carried out with Tetrapropenyl succinimido caproic acid (Tetra-PSCA), CAS No. 1424148-99-1which is a structural homologue of the registration substance Pentapropenyl succinimido caproic acid (Penta-PSCA) at Kurume Research Lab, Chemical Products Safety Center, Japan. In this test with two substance concentrations, low BCF in the range of 8 -25 L/kg wwt. were measured (see IUCLID Chapter 5.3.1). The minimum BCF which could be calculated reliably from this test based on the Limit of Quantification of the analytical method (LOQ m) for fish (8.9 µg/g) was 15 L/kg wwt for the test item concentration in water of 0.6 mg/L and 158 L/kg wwt for the water concentration of the test item of 0.06 mg/L. As no concentration in fish was >=LOQm, the BCF values from this test for the test item Tetra-PSCA are <15 L/kg wwt (test group 1 0.6 mg/L in water) and <158 L/kg wwt (test group 2 0.06 mg/L in water).

BIOACCUMULATION IN SOIL

Based on the BCF fish measured in carp (see above) also a low BCF worm is expected.
