Description of key information

According to OECD105 study the octanol solubility of Penta-PSCA is miscible with n-octanol at every ratio.
The thermodynamics of solutions usually works with concentrations expressed as amount of substance per unit volume of solution. In the case of complete miscibility, the maximum concentration is the pure substance. As a result the numerical value of the solubility is given by the density expressed in g/L.
The density of Penta-PSCA is 1.0102 g/cm³ at 20°C (s. IUCLID chapter 4.4 for details).
Based on that the n-octanol solubility of Penta-PSCA is 1010.2 g/l.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Solubility in organic solvents at 20°C:
1 010.2 g/L
