Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A boiling range of 90 - 145 °C (at 1013 hPa) was determined for the test substance according to EU Method A.2.

In supporting studies the predicted boiling point of the neat substance silanetriol, (3-aminopropyl)-, CAS 58160-99-9 was calculated using MPBPWIN and SPARC; the results were 322.03 °C and 352 °C respectively (at 1013 hPa). In additional supporting studies, the predicted boiling point of the dimer, 1,3-bis(3-aminopropyl)disiloxane-1,1,3,3-tetrol was calculated using MPBPWIN and SPARC; the results were 448.97 °C and 332.3 °C respectively (at 1013 hPa).

The boiling point of ethanol, CAS 64-17-5 is 78.5 °C (Merck Index - An Encyclopedia of Chemicals, Drugs, and Biologicals, 13th edition, 2001).
