Description of key information

For p-isopropyphenyl isocyanate no reliable short-term tests on toxicity to fish are available. Therefore, the short-term toxicity test of the main hydrolysis product 4-isoproylaniline with the lowest value is used to draw a conclusion on toxicity to fish for the parent compound. The acute toxicity of 4-isoproylaniline to fish was assessed following the OECD TG 203 "Fish, Acute Toxicity Test". For the species Oryzias latipes, a EC50 of 46 mg/l after 96 h of exposure was obtained (MITI, 1998).
