Description of key information

A study (DuPont Safety, Health & Environmental Excellence Center ) was performed on a marine species: Acute toxicity to daphnids (marine water) : EC50-(96h) = 0.47 mg/L (nominal concentration)
A study (Hüls AG.) was performed on a freshwater daphnids: Acute toxicity to daphnids (freshwater) : EC50-(24h) = 2.9 mg/L (nominal concentration)
So, 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene can be considered as very toxic to daphnids.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

3 experimental results were available in order to assess the toxicity of 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene to daphnids. However, 1 study could be considered as unreliable due to the insufficient documentation.

One study (DuPont Safety,) was performed on a marine species: Acute toxicity to daphnids (marine water): EC50-(96h) = 0.47 mg/L (nominal concentration)

The last study (Hüls AG.) was performed on a freshwater daphnids:Acute toxicity to daphnids (freshwater): EC50-(24h) = 2.9 mg/L (nominal concentration)

So, 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene can be considered as very toxic to daphnids.
