No data are available for characterizing 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives. impact on sediment organisms. Based on uses and expected behaviour when released in the environment one can expect possible effects on sediment dwelling organisms. Therefore a read-across is proposed on Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated which is a good surrogate for 2-Propanol, 1,1'-[[3-[(3-aminopropyl)amino]propyl]imino]bis-, N-tallow alkyl derivatives based on structural similarity and ecotoxicological profile (see the justification paper attached in the Summary "Ecotoxicological Information" of the IUCLID).
Thus an OECD 218 test (spiked sediment) is currently on going on Amines, N-tallow alkyltrimethylenedi-, propoxylated for improving substance hazard profile knowledge. A final protocol has been validated on April 2012. Unfortunately, due to several technical problems primarily related to the properties of the substance, the definitive test has not yet begun. We will update this endpoint as soon as we will receive the final report.
