Description of key information

The melting temperature of cis-cyclooctene was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD Test Guideline 102 (1995) and EU test method A.1 (2008). The result was -15.8 °C at 1011.8 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-15.8 °C

Additional information

The effect of the slight difference in pressure (1011.8 vs. 1013.25 hPa) on the result is considered to be negligible.
