Description of key information

The partition coefficient for the UVCB reaction productl is estimated using the HPLC method, with log Pow </= 1.0 for all components.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The log Pow was evaluated for the UVCB Polyglycerine substance, using the OECD TG 117 HPLC method. All components eluted in a single peak, with retention time indicating a log Pow value of 1.0. Estimation of log Pow for identified components of the UVCB substance, using the structure-fragment calculation method of US EPA KOWWIN, gives values ranging from -6.73 to -0.31. The measured/accepted value for the principle glycerine component is -1.75, as reported in the Supporting Study.
