Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Based on REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex IX, column 2 (section 7.16), the study on dissociation constant does not need to be conducted if it is scientifically not possible to perform the test for instance if the analytical method is not sensitive enough. The test substance is a mixture of at least five compounds (i.e. Sodium acetate, Sodium bromide, Disodium succinate, Succinimide, Trolamine), with corresponding pKa-values according to calculations performed by ChemIDplus (2003): pKa (Sodium acetate) = 4.5, pKa (Sodium bromide) = not applicable, pKa (Disodium succinate) = 3.5 and 5.7, pKa (Succinimide) = 9.9, pka (Trolamine) = 8.4. Since the determination of the dissociation constant of this mixture is analytically not feasible, the study on dissociation constant of the test substance can be waived.
