Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Acute aquatic toxicity data are available for all three trophic levels. For both Daphnia and algae (growth rate) the EC50 was found > 100 mg/L (nominal). The limit test with zebra fish revealed no effects up to the nominal concentration of 48 mg/L. A limit test was performed in accordance with the threshold approach requiring that the fish test is performed with a single concentration close to or slightly higher than the lowest EC50 value obtained in tests with in this case algal and daphnia. The threshold approach (based on the Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, ECHA (2008)) was used to demonstrate that zebra fish is not the most sensitive species to Reaction mass of CXN1-55.

The only available long-term study is the study on algal growth inhibition, which resulted in a 72 hour NOEC of 6.25 mg/L (growth rate). In the sludge respiration inhibition study 3 hour EC10, EC20, EC50 and EC80 values were clearly higher than 1000 mg/L.
