Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2011-11-22
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
thermal analysis
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -20 °C
Atm. press.:
101.3 kPa

Two individual measurements were made, both yielding freezing points below -20 °C.

Conclusions:
The freezing point of the test substance is below -20 °C at standard atmospheric pressure.
Executive summary:

The freezing point of the test substance was determined in accordance with EU Method A1. Test substance was filled into a solidification tube with a diameter ranging from 18 to 25 mm. The substance was then cooled down and stirred slowly and continuously with a precision thermometer. The freezing point is reached when the temperature remains constant. The freezing point of the test substance was below -20 °C at standard atmospheric pressure.

Description of key information

< -20 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information
