4.1. Description of first aid measures

First-aid measures after inhalation : Remove victim to fresh air.

First-aid measures after skin contact : Wash immediately with plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, take medical advice.

First-aid measures after eye contact : Rinse immediately and abundantly with water by prising open the eyelids. Consult a specialist.

First-aid measures after ingestion : Seek medical advice.

Symptoms/injuries after skin contact : May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Symptoms/injuries after eye contact : Eye irritation.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1. Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media : Carbon dioxide. Dry chemical. Foam. Water spray. Water fog.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire : Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2). Hydrogen chloride (HCl).

5.3. Advice for firefighters

Protection during firefighting : Do not attempt to fight the fire without suitable protective equipment. Complete protective clothing. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus due to dangerous fumes and gases.

General measures : Avoid all contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Do not breathe dust.

6.1.1. For non-emergency personnel

Emergency procedures : Ventilate spillage area. Do not attempt to fight the fire without suitable protective equipment.

For containment : Recover mechanically the product. Place in a suitable container for disposal in accordance with the waste regulations (see Section 13).

7.1. Precautions for safe handling

Precautions for safe handling : Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Otherwise wear personal breathing apparatus. Arrange for eye wash possibility. Wear recommended personal protective equipment. For further information refer to section 8: "Exposure controls/personal protection". Avoid all contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Avoid release to the environment. Do not ingest. Avoid dust production. Do not breathe dust. Dusts sensitive to static electricity.

Hygiene measures :Wear suitable protective clothing. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Wash hands immediately after handling the product. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Technical measures : Electrical equipment, including lighting, must conform to current legislation.

Storage conditions : Keep container tightly closed. Store in a dry place. Minimize exposure to air and light.

Incompatible materials : Oxidation agents. Metals.

Packaging materials : Recommendations: Plastic, Glass. Avoid : Do not use metal containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Hand protection :Protective gloves : Plastic. Please follow the instructions related to the permeability and the penetration time provided by the manufacturer. The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN 374.

Eye protection : Safety goggles/visor. (DIN EN 166).

Skin and body protection : Wear suitable protective clothing.

Respiratory protection : Wear a respiratory mask with filter type P3.

Waste treatment methods :

Authorized disposal. Dispose of in a safe manner, in accordance with local regulations. Avoid dispersal of spilled material, and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers. Recover or destroy according to current local regulations. This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way. Handle uncleaned and non-rinsed empty containers with care.
