Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning time (test type not further specified)
Remarks:
or specified in description of method (migrated information)
Remarks on result:
other: The test item could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes)

Any other information on results incl. tables

In contact with the ignition source, the test item melted, colored black and started burning partially. Without the ignition source, no burning of the test item could be observed. The main test was therefore not performed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information Based on the results of this study, the test item would not be considered as "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
Executive summary:

The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992 and Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, 30 May 2008, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 “Flammability (solids)”.

In contact with the ignition source, the test item melted, colored black and started burning partially. Without the ignition source, no burning of the test item could be observed.

The test item could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes).

Therefore, no main test was performed.
