Additional information

1,3-BDDMA has a low water solubility (243 mg/L at 20°C), a low vapour pressure (0.1 Pa at 20°C) and a low log Kow of 3.1. The substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil (calculated log Koc 2.51 (Kow method) and 1.89 (MCI method)) and a low potential to volatilise from water to air (H = 0.0676 Pa m³/mol at 25°C and 1013 hPa).

Results from a Mackay level III distribution modelling indicate that if 1,3-BDDMA is released to air, it mainly distributes to soil. A smaller amount remains in the air or partitions to water. If the substance is released into water, it mainly remains in water. The substance does not significantly partition to sediment.
